Pastor
Chris S. Doster - 704-718-9948
Pastor Doster and his wife Kelly began ministering at our church in the Spring of 2004. They traveled back and forth from Aiken, SC to our church every weekend until they relocated to Dallas in May of 2007. During this time they attended Victory Baptist College in North Augusta, SC and worked full-time jobs. After four years of study (3 of them traveling!!!) Pastor Doster graduated valedictorian of his class and received a bachelor's degree in pastoral theology. Mrs. Kelly graduated salutatorian of her class and received a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Since they began ministering at Maranatha we have seen souls saved, saints encouraged and many added to the church. Following Pastor Doster's leadership we have begun new ministries, taken on new missionaries and stepped out in faith by supporting him as our full-time pastor. Pastor Doster and Mrs. Kelly were blessed with their first child, Clara Grace, in 2007 and their son Clay in December of 2009. Pastor Doster has a heart for people and it shows in his preaching and pastoring. We are very blessed to have our pastor and his precious family ministering with us.

We were blessed to have known one of God's choice servants. James was a strong Christian, dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He served the Lord as a deacon, treasurer, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent and other positions here at Maranatha. James truly was a wonderful servant of the Lord and a very kind and friendly gentleman. James also served in the community as a city councilman for the city of Gastonia. He is greatly missed by our church and all who knew him.
James went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2009.
